24000 Btu | 2 Ton | up to 1200 sq ft
The 24000 Btu mini split air conditioner offers a superior form of cooling with a much lower energy consumption than a traditional central unit. With these mini split systems, you simply mount the indoor unit high on the wall in the room or area you wish to cool, and through a 3'' hole connect it to the mini split outdoor unit with copper pipes and wires. The mini split installation process is a breeze when compared to any central ducted system. This type of non ducted unit allows you to accurately cool a room without effecting the temperature of rooms that may not be occupied at the time.
The 24000 btu mini split heat pump is a system that provides both heating and cooling for 800 to 1200 sq feet. This is possible by using a reversing solenoid, which allows freon to run in reverse. A typical mini split cooling only system, when in operation, sends cooled freon to the indoor evaporator. This process results in warmed freon being sent back to the mini split outdoor unit. A heat pump mini split simply reverses this process, sending heated freon to the indoor evaporator, resulting in a nice warm air that is not dry like with gas heat. With this type of mini split system, you get all the benefits of superior cooling along with reliable heating on colder days. We offer the newest hyper heat mini split systems that operate down to -22f, most older mini split systems would only heat down to 32f.
24,000 btu ceiling cassette mini split units are wonderful, if you have the space to install them. Typically these mini split systems are designed to be installed into a drop ceiling. Most 24K have an indoor unit that is around 36'' x 36'', which is perfect for a drop ceiling- but not so much for most residential applications as space in between rafters may not be adequate. These cassette mini split units have 360 degree area of coverage, so you would want to install them in the center of the room for best results. These mini split systems have built in condensate pumps, allowing condensation to be pumped to a drain or to the exterior of the home or office. Once installed, you only see the grill on the ceiling.
24,000 btu Slim ducted mini split units are basically hidden or concealed mini split indoor units, which ducts are ran into the rooms you wish to heat and cool. This mini split unit also has a return, which requires a register with a filter. You would want to be sure to put the return in an area that would accumulate hot air, and be careful not to place ducts close to the return. These mini split units also have built in condensate pumps, allowing the system to pump the condensation outside. With these mini split systems, they allow many different features not typically found on wall mounts or cassettes. For instance, some mini split systems have wall mounted thermostats which allow you to set 7 day schedules and allows automatic static pressure settings. With the automatic static pressure setting, the mini split system will set itself to the best pressure needed for the ducts you have installed. They also have the ability to connect exhaust fans, which allows fresh air from outside. You can also use dampers in case you want to use one air handler for multiple rooms.
24K floor ceiling mount mini split systems are very versatile. Smaller units are primarily referred to as "floor console Mini split systems", which can only be mounted on the floor against the wall. Larger 24,000 btu mini split units can be mounted like the consoles on the floor or on the ceiling. They are flush mounted to the ceiling, and are very visible. These mini split units have very good air flow, and are recommended for allot of commercial applications like grow rooms, server rooms, warehouses and more. The larger mini split units have a built in condensate pump, allowing condensation to be sent outdoors. Typically operated by a remote control, as it may be difficult running a thermostat in a ceiling application.
